SPATCOEnergy Solutions
Executive Summary
Phase 1 ยท September 2026
Confidential

Built for the road to $800M.

SPATCO grew to roughly $350M in revenue on relationships, field expertise, and hustle โ€” with no CRM behind it. Under Kian Capital's mandate to reach $700โ€“800M ahead of a 2028โ€“29 exit, the next $450M needs a system. Phase 1 puts that system in place without touching SAP.

The Challenge

Sales activity is split across SAP, SharePoint, and email, with separate logins for sales, sales support, and estimating and no single record of a deal. Roughly 80โ€“90% of new business comes from existing relationships โ€” there is no fit-scoring, no lead prioritization, and no rep-level visibility into account whitespace. And the ~30 trade shows SPATCO runs each year are captured on badge scanners and manual spreadsheets, with no view of what happens to a lead after the show and no campaign ROI.

Fragmented QuotingThree systems, multiple logins, no shared opportunity record across sales, support, and estimating.
Reactive-Only Sales80โ€“90% of business from existing relationships. No fit-scoring, no whitespace visibility.
No Campaign Attribution~30 shows a year captured manually. No follow-through visibility, no measurable ROI.

The Solution โ€” Phase 1 Scope

Sales Cloud gives every deal one opportunity record across all three teams. Marketing Cloud turns trade-show leads into tracked campaigns with real attribution. Data Cloud Foundations unifies account profiles so whitespace becomes visible and actionable. Critically, SAP remains SPATCO's system of record โ€” finance, inventory, and service contracts do not move. Salesforce sits on top as the front-end CRM and engagement layer, synced with the ERP.

Sales CloudOne opportunity record. Forecastable pipeline across 36 locations. SPIFF commission visibility built into the same record.
Marketing CloudBadge scan straight to campaign, automated follow-up journeys, and campaign influence reporting per event.
Data Cloud FoundationsUnified customer profiles across petroleum, environmental, EV, and service. Included with Phase 1 licensing.

Why Now

The growth mandate has a clock on it. Kian Capital is targeting an exit in 2028โ€“29, which means the systems that support a $700โ€“800M business need to be operating โ€” not being implemented โ€” well before diligence starts. Every quarter SPATCO runs without a CRM is a quarter of pipeline, campaign, and whitespace data that never gets captured and can never be recovered. An August 10 start delivers go-live on November 27, 2026, putting a full year of clean operating history on the books before the exit window opens. The ask is $115,000 against a business already committing roughly $411K per year to a single SAP point solution that isn't going anywhere.
